Ingredients
-
1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
-
1/4 cup yellow onion, grated
-
2 tbsp breadcrumbs (or panko)
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
8 slider buns (or small dinner rolls)
-
For Serving: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, cheese slices, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, grated onion, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
-
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small patties, about 2 inches wide. Press a small dimple into the center of each patty.
-
Place the patties on the prepared sheet pan.
-
Bake for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Alternatively, you can broil for 5-7 minutes per side.
-
In the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, place the slider buns on the sheet pan to toast lightly.
-
Assemble the sliders: place a patty on each bottom bun and top with your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
Notes
-
Juicy Secret: The grated onion is the key to keeping the turkey burgers moist. Don’t skip it!
-
Make Ahead: Patties can be shaped, covered, and refrigerated up to a day in advance.
-
Cheesy Option: Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty for the last minute of cooking.
-
Storage: Leftover cooked patties can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
